Kristen SarahKristen Sarah Jacobson, known professionally as Kristen Sarah, is an actress, dancer, videographer and self-professed ‘travel addict’ who has traveled to over 25 countries.  Kristen was both born and raised in Brampton, Ontario but has lived and worked in other countries around the world including Paraguay, Ghana, India, Thailand, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Belize, Hawaii and other states of America. She is functionally fluent in Spanish, has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has an advanced diploma in tv and film production.

Her love for acting developed at the age of 6, although she began performing as soon as she could sit up and babble. Throughout her youth, Kristen was involved in every theatrical performance at school as well as community theatre. During high school, Kristen took every drama class offered as well as any acting opportunity outside of the curriculum requirements. Her first memorable performance was when she played a compulsive eating queen in George F. Walker’s Rumors of Our Death for the Sears Ontario Drama Festival.

In 2006, Kristen travelled to Peru, South America to film a documentary which she produced, hosted and edited with her boyfriend.  The documentary, Peru Up Close and Personal, aims to break the stereotypes of a developing nation, has since been shown in high schools, colleges, and universities throughout Ontario.  In 2007, Kristen won the Garfield Weston National Scholarship which gave her the opportunity to live and work for the summer at Coastal Television in Ghana, West Africa.  Kristen started off as a production assistant and quickly moved to reporter, producer, and assistant director.

Upon graduating in 2009 from the Broadcasting: Radio, Television and Film program at Niagara College, Kristen moved to Toronto and began working in the technical side of the entertainment industry  as a Technical Video Assistant (and occasionally appearing in skits for MTV Live) at MTV Canada.  Over the next couple of years, Kristen continued to work for MTV Canada and freelance for large productions such as the Much Music Video Awards, Canada’s Walk of Fame, So You Think You Can Dance Canada, World Poker Tour, CHUM FM Fanfest and We Day.

In 2009, Kristen created, which has grown to be a popular travel website and vlog for wannabe nomads and off-the-beaten-path adventure seekers. If Kristen isn’t on set or stage, she’s galavanting around the world hosting travel videos for various tourism boards, resorts and travel outlets such as Travel + Escape, Flight Centre Canada, Travel Mindset, YouTube, and her own website Hopscotch the Globe.

In early 2011, Kristen was by herself on a 60-hour train ride in India when she decided that while she loved the technical side of the entertainment industry, her true love was performing; and that was the dream she needed to follow.  Although Kristen has skills and respect for the technical side of the film and tv industry, her life pursuit is to perform.  Her acting training includes: Armstrong Acting Studios, The Second City Training Studio, Cindy Tanas Actors Studio, Brampton Theatre School, Niagara College, and Harry Wilson Theatre. In late 2011, Kristen joined the First Act Productions family, where she entered the world of musical theatre for the first time. Her most notable theatre credits to-date include Diane in HAIR the Musical and Hag, Troll and Rodrigo II in Little Women the Musical.

Along with appearing in commercials, print ads, and billboards, Kristen can be seen in Andria Simone’s music video “Do What I Want” and most recently shot a pilot for a new show with Mike Holmes and The Holmes Group.
